Rosie Davies had her first bout on Saturday and she won!
Rosie has been boxing with us since we opened in 2018 and she was 14 years old. Despite going off to uni in October, she has done really well with keeping up her training at Uni and at NPBA during holidays.
Rosie has waited a long time to represent NPBA and when a good match came through 3 weeks ago she jumped at the chance to finally have her first bout. Here is a bout report from Coach Jo:
"Stepping into the ring against a shorter opponent in the second half of the show Rosie dominated and pushed her opponent back to the ropes. Using her long range jab and aggression, she foxed the girl in the red corner with switching stances and forward progressions. Rosie deserved the win and we are thrilled that we have a win for Rosie and the club as the season comes to a close.
Well done Rosie, you did yourself and the club very proud and we hope this is the first of many!
