Safeguarding

Overview

  • NPBA (Northern Powerhouse Boxing Academy) is committed to keeping children, young people, and vulnerable adults safe from harm.

  • All staff, volunteers, and members and any person visiting the club, must follow the safeguarding policy, which includes understanding appropriate behaviours and following NPBA Code of Conduct (See below)

  • If you ever have a concern about a person’s safety, act quickly and report it to the right people at NPBA. The responsibility to protect the welfare of children and vulnerable adults is everyone’s duty. The policy makes it clear that abuse in any form will not be tolerated, and the welfare of the individual comes first.

We always remember, in cases of concern or abuse – doing nothing is not an option

Safeguarding and NPBA values

  • Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility at NPBA, and all staff, members and visitors must uphold values that support the protection of children and vulnerable adults and each other.

  • Everyone should feel comfortable raising any concerns, no matter how small, to ensure the protection of young people and vulnerable adults.

  • Challenging inappropriate behaviour or abuse of power is essential for maintaining a safe environment.

NPBA Code of Conduct
Everyone at NPBA (coaches, members, volunteers, visitors) must follow the Code of Conduct to  promote a positive, respectful environment. You can read it here
