The Ways We Win: Creating Inclusive Spaces for Physical Activity

We are running a project exploring how sport and physical activity can better serve young people with diverse neurological profiles.

The project, The Ways We Win: Creating Inclusive Spaces for Physical Activity, is part of the Active Futures programme, led by UK Youth in partnership with The Young Foundation. Its aim is to develop a practical, transferable framework that other physical activity providers can use to make their sessions more accessible and inclusive for neurodivergent young people.

The project is being led by NPBA coach Ryan Wilkinson, who works directly with young people across NPBA's sessions. Ryan has been central to the design of the project, shaping an approach that is grounded in the real experiences of the young people NPBA works with.

As part of the research, we are gathering feedback. All of this will feed into the final framework and help to build an evidence base for inclusive practice in grassroots sport and physical activity.

We believe sport and physical activity should work for every neurodivergent young person. Your experiences, whether your own or your child's, really matter. The more we understand what works and what doesn't, the further we can spread what we learn.

If you have been directed here via our survey link, we would really value your contribution.
