Social Media Policy
Social Media and Communication Policy
Our Purpose
NPBA exists to provide a safe, inclusive space where people of all ages, backgrounds and genders are welcomed and empowered through boxing, exercise and social connection. This policy ensures our online spaces reflect those same values.
Our Channels
We communicate via Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp group chats. These spaces are used to share club news, class information, club events and member updates.
Connection and Community
Our channels are more than noticeboards. We want them to feel like part of the community. We know that for many members, NPBA is more than a gym. The connections made here matter.
Keep It Club-Focused
Our channels are for club-related content. Please do not post views on political, religious, social or ideological matters. This includes posts, links, images or fundraising appeals connected to a particular cause or campaign.
This boundary exists to keep NPBA a shared space where every member feels equally welcome and to make sure important club information stays visible to everyone. We know that when groups fill up with off-topic content, members mute notifications and miss updates they need.
Be Respectful
Please do not post content that is discriminatory, harassing, hateful, threatening, defamatory, obscene or personally abusive. Do not make personal attacks in comments or replies. Content of this kind will be removed.
Reporting and Enforcement
If you see content outside these guidelines, please message the club manager (Josie) or head coach (Fie) directly rather than responding publicly.
Posts that do not adhere to this policy will be removed. Members who repeatedly post outside these guidelines may be asked to leave club channels.
Any personal grievance with another member or with the club should be raised directly with the board of directors, not aired in club channels.
Platform Rules
All members must comply with the terms and conditions of the platforms themselves, including rules around explicit or violent material.
